I cancelled Xbox Live automatic renewal in january, and i had the 1 month + 1 free month, so i’m nearing the end, but it still says it’s renewing in account management. When it ends, will it stop, or will renew itself, because The credit card I used was prepaid.

  1. I have had the same problem you are describing. You need to call the Xbox live customer support and ask them to cancel your membership to stop renewal, or else it will try to charge the pre-paid credit card. It you then have an outstanding balance, they can ban your account for non payment.

    Call

    * Toll free: (800) 4MY-XBOX or (800) 469-9269

    * Direct dial: (425) 635-7180

    * Hearing impaired (TDD device): (866) 740-9269 or (425) 635-7102

    Again, YOU MUST CANCEL THE RENEWAL BY CALLING, or else they will ban your account, because once your pre-paid credit card runs out, it will send you an e-mail stating your payment failed to be processed and will tell you to choose a different method. It will also say you have an outstanding balance, which means you owe Microsoft X amount of money.

  2. It looks like it will try to renew itself. You should call them up to cancel the auto renewal

    1-800-4MY-XBOX (1-800-69-9269)

    Then again, if your prepaid credit card is empty, then Microsoft will fail to charge it for the renewal, so it won’t matter.
